Yep. bingo.

What I actually did was I made a body shape template out of MDF with the bandsaw, and sanded her down to just the right shape. I traced it out onto a piece of ash and cut out the shape, leaving about 1/8" around the outside, then I used the template and the router to do the final pass. Comes out a lot cleaner than using just the bandsaw (unless the router tears a chunk out, it didnt though).

Then the rest was pretty standard, made some router templates for the cavities, and used a 3/8" roundover for the edges.
