Man, oh man! Mick and the Stones just keep rolling out more good times! They’re releasing a 40th anniversary deluxe box set! “Get Yer Ya-Ya’s Out!” A literal box of Stones memorabilia! It has LP’s, cd’s, a collector’s book, and a signed poster!? And if that’s not enough, it also comes with a DVD with their live performances from Madisen Square Garden! I remember trying to get tickets to those shows! My high school sweet heart back then ditched me and went her friends that night. I had to hear about the concert all that next day and week. It comes out Tuesday, November 3rd. I’m even getting my kids excited about it even though the Stones have been making music almost twice as long as my youngest has been on this earth! Does anyone else think this is amazing!? http://bit.ly/RSboxset

Honestly? Nope. The Stones never did anything for me. I liked about as many songs of theirs as I did The Doors. Just not my thing.

Gimmie shelter still gives me chills.  I do like the stones.  As far as british invasion... if I had to choose between them and the who I would pick the who.  I just like their sound better.  I think I heard somewhere that there is a running bet on some website about which celebrity is going to die first and apparently kieth richards has been number one for a few years now.

Is anyone going to be able to tell? That guy's looked dead for about 30 years now.
Definitely The Who over the Stones any day. Except for the guitar smashing. I'm totally against instrument destruction.

I've only broke one guitar.  I can't say it was a perfectly good one though.  The headstock snapped off of it.  I surprised some friends by running up to a group of them and then smashing it... they were definitely shocked because they didn't know it was already broken.

I was traumatized when my dad broke my first one cuz I was being a total teenage big mouthed brat. Now I know it hurt him just as much, but in certain ways it's scarred my psyche for life.
