1976 Gibson LP Custom. It is in dire need of some TLC. The pictures are from when he first brought it down. I cleaned it real good, took the strings off (they were wound backwards lol, don't reckon they have been changed in 20 years). I haven't restrung it yet because I want to put the original tuners on it. The originals were in the case and the schaellers that are on it now were put on before he bought it back in the early 80's. I need to get it set up and screw on a pickup switch tip but other than that it's freakin awesome!

That might have been at the factory the same time as my Gibson ES335. Mine's about a '76 or '77, too. That's a beautiful instrument. Did you happen to find a number on it or check to see the appreciation? I'm curious about that since mine did so much.

I did check the serial number. It was made in 1976 at the Gibson plant in Nashville. I'm not sure of the price but I think it's between 2500-3000$. I have all six tuners but only four tuner bushings... that really sucks. I am trying to find replacements online but don't know if I'll be able to or not. If not i'll just have to get a new set of tuners that look like the originals. Those schaellers just don't fit this LP. Before I ripped the rusted crusty strings off it sounded amazing on my marshall and the neck was real fast.

What about that Vintage Guitar place, I think, in Pa.? Maybe it's Vintage Instruments. Or even Gibson themselves. Now I'm curious which place mine was made in. I did know, but have forgotten.
