Muse

"Muse"

Sparked, a glint of diamond through the dust
Elusiveness, ebb and wane
Contour tightening with each breath
Daydreams pulsating all through life
Drone and dull much of the time
Blissful boredom much of life
Still it's a comfort to me

It grows within my head
Some force that expands
Like a broken wire that solidifies a current
When the volume is turned up
It doesn't seem possible to do it alone
It always takes a catalyst
But it's never the same reasons

I have a force field around me
That holds static at bay
And no matter how hard I try
I can't break through to it
Unless the time is right
My world is aligned
Or maybe completely disrupted

All I know is it's here right now
And for the time it is, I'm grateful
For whatever purpose it is, I'm content
If I can solve my puzzle I can overcome
And rescue it when I lose it.
Expanded mind and memory
