I recently purchased a 2002 Taylor 514ce.  It has a Fishman prefix blender system installed and I am just learning this aspect of the guitar.  I have a Fender GDEC 30 amp and have been playing around trying to get a reasonable sound.  I would appreciate any comments or inputs that may help me out.

Do you have fishman soundhole pickups? i'm not familiar with the "fishman blender system" -- i'll have to read up on it.. chances are theres some sort of pickup on it already. I'm not really crazy about the Fender G-Dec series amps... you might want to look into getting a tube amp if you have a hard time getting good acoustic sounds out of it.

Some people like to run a graphic EQ pedal before the amp for additional tonal variations.

Hope this helps!

To get the best sound out of your acoustic guitar use an acoustic amp.  Go out to your closest music shops and try out a variety of them with your guitar and see which one you like the most.
