When someone asks to play your guitar. The guitar playing part I am fine with just as long as I know the person. I usually don't let strangers play my guitars. The thing that really ticks me off is when they also ask to borrow a pick or use one that is already with the guitar and then they stick it in their mouth. GUHHH... I am so mad right now because a dude did that to me this weekend, I dont know which pick it was that he had in his mouth but I do know that I have to clean all of my picks with soap and hot water now. Son of a B.
Don't be the guy that borrows picks and puts them in your mouth... this is a really bad habit and you shouldn't even do it with your own picks.

We're gonna have Woodstock 3 at my house in the back 2. We've talked about getting together sometime for years. Other forums I'm on they have done it, but they're more my age and schedule vacations for it. Anyone who heads up this way is welcome to come visit.
Engel, I think that's the same as people who cook and lick their fingers. (Paula Deen in particular for celebrity cooks.) It's nothing but a bad habit. You might tuck a little dollar store bottle of antibacterial hand cleaner in your guitar case just for that purpose or when you let someone else play stick your pick in your pocket til you play again.

Maybe tell them sternly from the beginning that if they put your pick in their mouth they'll be getting your incurable ill-tempered pickeater's syndrome and may have to poop it out.  You want to make it memorable. |
