So today I went to guitar center to get some things. I have been wanting this stuff for a while but have been putting it off. I got a stand for my PA:

I read some tips for performing live and they said that it's best to have a stand for your stuff that way it's not on the floor for people to spill beer on or fall on. It makes sense.
and I also got an amp stand for my crate gt212:

I have been putting together a set list for a gig in the future. A guy I know who works at this restaraunt/bar as bar manager told me that he would definitely have me so it's a done deal, I am just making sure I am totally prepared before I tell him I am ready to get booked. I want to be as professional about it as I can. I have never really done a solo gig but that's the kind of stuff I would like to get into... I have played with the old band I was in at a couple of house parties and done open mics a handful of times and also done karaoke lots of times but have never had a solo gig. I want to be in a band but I am so tired of trying to find musicians with the same taste and skills as me that can commit to being in a band. I am so ready to perform. Also I decided to keep my ovation gc057... the guy wanting to buy it took too long and I got some second opinions that made me want to keep it. So that's gonna be my primary stage guitar. I want to put strap locks on it but it sounds like a pain in the ass putting them on an acoustic, especially an ovation. I might still put them on but I'll have to do some more research on it.
Anyways, enough about that... I just wanted to post up the gear that I am working with at the moment. I feel like I need to take it all a step further and maybe get a mixer or something. One guy said I should get a direct box and try it out.
Anyone have any suggestions or experiences with some stuff that they think would work good with this stuff? Oh yeah, my main mic is a shure sm58 btw.
