I have to admit these are pretty birds but they are equally as tasty.

Tonight I decided to do a shake and bake Pheasant. Since I love shake and bake chicken, I figured it would be neat to try with a Pheasant.

I baked it for about an hour at 400.

Turned out great, tastes like a wild chicken... dark meat has more flavor than the white.

A wild chicken? What do they taste like? The only wild chickens I've ever heard of are the ones living in the Keys of Florida that are nuisances.
I've never tried pheasant. I've seen a few, but those are rare occasions. They are beautiful birds.

Yea. I think Pheasants are actually wild chickens... quite common around here, they like to hang around the ceders. They are bigger than partridge and have an assortment of different colored feathers...

Yup, I've bought feathers, wings, etc, when they used to have fishing symposiums at the local college here. They use them for fly tying. I used them for crafts.
