get an older one. I know a lot of people say this about guitars, but the reissues of this model in particular truely suck

I bet they are ridiculous to find though.  Probably twice as much as a reissue.

the silverbursts are unique in that aspect though. Its not normal paint thats used, it has something else in it that actually does change the tone, that makes silverbursts sound different from other les pauls. Sounds stupid, i know, but its true

Would it be magnetic paint? I know they have that for interior surfaces in homes now. Maybe something like that would effect the tonal quality.

I'm still deciding what to paint my project epi lp.  I have heard of stickers affecting tone of guitars so I assume the paint would too.  I think I want to do a custom paint job on my guitar.  I just came up with a good idea.
