The bond between the bass player and drummer is one of the most unbreakable and important in a band.  The bass player must match with the drummer's bass drum and the drummer must pay attention to the bass player's subtleties of tone, rythym, and intensity.

Some duos are guitar players/drummers, but being a bass player myself, I enjoy the relationship between drummer/bass.  When these two players know each others' playing style, the sky is the limit for percussive possibilites..

WHO are your top three Bassist/Drummer combo?

MINE ARE: 1. Danny Carey/Justin Chancellor
          2. Keith Moon/Ox
          3. Bill Bruford/Chris Squire

I don't know who the bass player is for Dr. Teeth, but Animal's my favorite drummer. Does Floyd play bass?

Carey and chancellor is a good one.

I recently bought "side 1" by adrian belew, and Danny carey and Les Claypool guest on it. !#@!ing orgasmic.

John Bonham And John Paul Jones were an awesome rhythm section as well. I always thought they were the unsung heroes of zeppelin

So true. When those 2 locked up it was amazing and allowed for Page and Plant to go off into their insane noise tantrums without the whole thing falling apart.
