I always get goosebumps to "Spirit of the Radio" by Rush , "Heart of Rock'n'Roll" by Huey Lewis, "Movin' Out (Anthony's Song) by Billy Joel, and "Heart of the Sunrise" by Yes. I love that feeling, when you look down and your arms are all bumpy and the hair is sticking straight up. There's really no feeling like it and it's the reason Musicians always get the girl.. Thoughts? Songs that do this to you? TJ of Doppler www.dopplerband.com Powered by www.BandVista.com

Love is the Drug always made the hair on the back of my neck stand up cuz I HATE that song. Of course, my hubby likes it.
But in a good way, I can understand "Heart of the Sunrise." It's just grabs me. Samuel Barber's "Adagio for Strings" is another. "The Bells of St. Mary's" --hymn "God of Our Fathers" hymn played on pipe organ will make me tear up, too.
Right now I can't think of any rock type songs that really does it.
There was an old commercial of a cd of Nat King Cole that used to give me goosebumps and creep me out for some unknown reason back in the 80's, but then one day that feeling just disappeared. Oddest thing.

"Slick" by Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass. Purely because I finally figured out who did it. I've loved the song since I was 9 years old and never knew who did it! I went through Al Hirt, Pete Fountain, Maynard Ferguson-even though I didn't think it was him, and finally hit on Herb. Far out. I also found a version by Chet Atkins, but I like the horn better than the guitar on this piece. My goodness. The search is over.

"Palmcorder Yajna" by the Mountain Goats made me cry the other day, partly because I switched meds and partly because it's beautiful in its way.
Similar stuff happened with "Three Little Birds" by Bob Marley, and the King of the Hill episode where Hank's dad dies.
