Last night the ole man made penne pasta with tomato sauce, romano cheese, and bulk Italian sausage. It was really good--- and I didn't have to cook!
ha... last night we had "mini penne" pasta with portabella mushrooms, and orange bell peppers with mozzarella cheese and butter and garlic sauce, it was actually pretty good for a night before pay day meal.
but seriously i am like obsessed with these "mini" pastas that barilla has now they are amazing, and cute, mine and baby's favorite is the mini bowties!
Those wagon wheels are awesome.

Big meal of the day in the evening probably started because typical working hours were daylight hours ending early evening and the menfolk were hungry by then, ready to settle down in their "castles" and relax with a full belly. On the contrary, a lot of poorer overweight people just aren't eating the right foods for whatever reason so they gain. There must be an issue at homes if the schools are required to teach and provide healthy meals for breakfasts (those that have them) or lunches. If Americans ate what the FDA guidelines are they'd probably cut their grocery bill in half, but they might be a tad hungry, too.

I made venison sausage and ground chuck meatlumps with pierogies on the side tonight. Just meat and taters.
But earlier I had a taste of heaven accidently. I was eating a half of a Special Dark Hershey bar and the took a sip of my berry juice. It tasted like a filled candy! Excellent! When I worked at the icecream shop one of my favorite things was raspberry icecream with dipping chocolate mixed in it.
AND WE'RE OUT OF ICE CREAM!!!!!!!! **whines**

I made a double batch of whole wheat pizza crust in my bread machine and spread that onto a cookie sheet with some olive oil on it. I added pizza sauce, mushrooms on half, green peppers, onions, bacon, burger, and mozzarella cheese. It's all gone now.

Very simple dinner tonight and man, was it good! I boiled up some egg noodles and while they were draining I melted some butter in the pan and added half a head of cabbage chopped in large pieces and some Hillshire Farms Smoked Sausage cut into pieces and halved. I let those cook awhile with about a cup of water on it so the cabbage would cook faster. I tossed a bit of mustard powder and some coarse ground black pepper in. After about 15 minutes I dumped the noodles in and stirred it up. Everyone liked it and went back for seconds.
And this was after I heard remarks about making weird stuff.
They should trust me more.
