Any one have any experience with the Roland GR series of guitar synths...??

I have read some of the comments on this guitar synth...
I have this "toy" and, yes, there are a lot of patches that I will most likely never use...some really interesting sounds...
Yes, you have to really have good technique on the guitar in order to get the best sound.
I have screwed the divided pick up onto one of my less expensive guitars that has 24 frets....I didn't want to use the two sided tape as this is only a temporary fix. The bridge bracket that is supplied is specifically designed for the Les Paul bridges (I didn't want to attach this to my Les Paul due to the number of frets 22 I wanted the higher notes for some songs that I play)
I have a Godin acousticaster equipped with the divided pickup and obviously the 13 pin connection.
As for the sounds.....I can get somewhat realistic wind instruments by sliding to the notes....sort of gives the exhaling sound of the wind instruments..
The piano, organ, keyboard insturments are excellent...
The strings sections are awesome.....
Still experimenting with this toy.....
