I'll post a pic when I get it all set up at some point this week, I used it yesterday and now it's all in horrible coils of wire in my bag.

I too hope to construct a pedalboard in the next few months.  Given, I am broke, and the money would probably be better spent on a decent amplifier, but I love projects like this.  And I'm not in a band and mostly just play alone, so I'm gonna go with the pedalboard.  I need a few more things before I even start the board, namely the EVH MXR Phase 90, Boss Chromatic Tuner, and a DC powerbrick.

It's gonna be awesome.  I can hardly wait.  It's gonna go like this:  Guitar-->Boss Tuner-->Crybaby-->Digitech Metal Master-->Boss CH-1-->EVH Phaser-->Amp, powered by the DC brick.  Then I need all the assorted patch cables and powercords.  This is gonna be expensive, but it'll finally encourage me to combine my effects instead of just lazily pulling one out and using it.  I also hope to build a cover for it.

So here's the plan:

I started it yesterday but it started raining and I had to stop.  The board itself will be constructed well before I have the pedals that go with it.

I have also decided to build it slightly bigger to allow for a noise gate, because I know I'll need one.

Don't mess about with zip ties. Just use velcro like everyone else...

Small thing Bob, I've been told by guys in York that know their business about pedals that tuners should ALWAYS go last in the chain i.e. directly before the amp. Something about bypass/tone, I'm not sure, but I mucked around with my setup and with the tuner last my tone is a lot better.

Thanks for the heads up, I'll most likely be sure to do that now that I know.  I have started to build it, and have the bottom part of it put together, but I will need to recut a couple of pieces.  Also, further drilling and rearranging will be necessary because I need to run the wah, distortion, ch1, and phase 90 through the send and return.  So that = another couple of cables.

Instead of getting the NS-2, I think that I'll go with an MXR smart gate instead.  Less complicated.  Anyone have an opinion of these?

always put volume/tone effects (wah, volume pedal etc) first in the chain, then distortion and overdrives, then modulated effects (chorus, etc). Of course by !#@!ing with the order of things, you can get some cool sounds, but this order is usually for the best, most straightforward tone

So, that's my pedal setup. Amp on the left into tuner, out on the right to guitar from the wah pedal.

Here's a pic of what I've got built so far, the bottom of the board and the compartment where the DC brick will go:

It's now gonna go something like guitar into crybaby into tubescreamer into mxr bluebox(just to have an oddball) into chorus into phaser into noisegate into tuner powered by dc brick.

I'm going to take the digitech distortion out and just use an amp crunch channel and the tubescreamer to supplement it.  I like the metalmaster but it's tone is just a little stale and cliche.

As for amps, I've got my eye on a 120watt Crate 212.

No delay pedal?

Nope.  I don't have anything against it, and I REALLY like that Line 6 DL4, but I can't see myself using it too much.

I want one, but I want the tubescreamer, phaser, dc brick and tu2.   I might look into getting a delay later, probably not the DL4 because it has a track record of being too unreliable.

But it was sweet.

Oh yeah, and forget the blue box.  I'm now looking into a B-52 LS100 head and a Budda 2x12 cab.

It will come to fruition soon and my dream will be realized.  The only pedal left I need is the MXR M-135 SmartGate and one more patch cable.  I have figured out a way to rig the board to work because my original was way too complicated.  I will not be building a lid for this, and it will not have a bottom.  I'm going to bind the DC Brick into the inside of the board using riot cuff sized zip ties like I'm doing to bind the pedals to the board.

My woman got me the EVH Phase 90 for christmas, and otherwise I'm getting a TS9DX, the DC Brick and the TU-2 already.

Get the cordless drill out and bore a hole for the DC Brick powercable, the brick cables to the pedals and the small holes for the riot cuffs to bind the board and it should work.

This must work.  I'm too excited for it not too.

It's sturdy enough, I put a few roofing nails in some places to reinforce it.

I don't know if I will paint it, though.  Guess I can't go wrong with some black spraypaint.
