Does it stop buzzing when you touch the strings or any metal parts of the guitar? If so, it's a grounding problem...

Guitar, usually... If that is the solution then it is the guitar's grounding problem. If it doesn't buzz while playing other guitars, then it is also that guitar's grounding problem. It's not really a big deal to get it fixed, and you could probably do it yourself if you've done any soldering before and can find a good tutorial online.

I don't know if I'd attempt that myself, but I was curious what could be done. I've got others around here that have soldiering skills. And that does make sense to switch guitars. Thanks!

well i can get it to stop but the only way is if i push the cord up and every time i let go of the cord it shoots out to where it sounds like its buzzing... i can use my whammy bar to keep it up but then my guitar is out of tune

It sounds kike the input jack is either loose or !#@!ed! Try tightening it up or check and make sure that the wires aren't loose and if not take it out and replace it. $5 fix!

Yeah, try another cord and see if it does the same thing.
This is an older thread, but it might help someone else out.
